He is survived by: his wife Ruth Yates Knowles; his children, Roger Michael "Mike" Knowles (Debbie), Howard Dale Knowles (Linda), Jason Kris "Kris" Knowles (Tammie) and Karmen Knowles Mitchem; his stepchildren, David Reid (Katie) and Candace Ivey (Mickey); his grandchildren, Jason Knowles (Andrea), Kevin Knowles (Jessica), Keith Knowles (Kendra), Kraig Knowles (Shanda), Logan Mitchem (Tiffany), Kristian Bohanan (Jacob), Parker Knowles, Raleigh Stimmell (Alex), Malachi Ivey (Grace), Abbie Reid, Ben Reid (Natalie), Joseph Ivey and Rosie Reid; and his sister Billie June Lovvorn. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
