He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Dewberry and Ruth Dewberry; his wife Fay Nell Dewberry; his grandson Derek Dewberry; and his siblings, Sue Dewberry, Dorothy Stephens, Sandra Funk, Barbara Cole, Billy Dewberry, Harold Dewberry, Herschel Dewberry, James Dewberry and Ray Dewberry.
He is survived by: his sons, Dennis Dewberry (Karen) and Dale Dewberry (Borche); his siblings, Norma Shaw, Linda Newborn and Jack Dewberry; his grandchildren, Ashley Sailors (Steve) and Erika Wheeler (Josh); and his great grandchildren, Preslei McCarty, Leia Wheeler, Bryson Wheeler, Noah Sailors and Koe Wheeler.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hightower Funeral Home (318 Gordon St, Bremen, GA 30110). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Waco Baptist Church (34 Atlantic Ave, Waco, GA 30182).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mr. Dewberry's memory to Tanner Hospice, whose care and compassion meant so much during his final days.
