Cook Jr. of Bremen, Georgia, born in Valdosta, Georgia, who passed away on December 8, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel P. Cook, and Ruth Cook, Sr.; and his son-in-law Anthony Collins. He is survived by: his wife Sue Carr Cook; his children, Samuel P. "Tripp" Cook III, Elizabeth Blackmon of Decatur, Esther Collins of Alpharetta, Leigh and John Manis of Chilhowie, Virginia; his sister Marilyn Morris of Bowdon; his grandchildren, Caroline, Dubb Sutphin, Sarah, Logan Honaker, John Hanson Steele, William Collins and Harper June Collis; and his nephew Troy Pickens Callahan of Dallas.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donating to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Foundation at 1575 NE Expressway, Atlanta, Georgia 30329.
