He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lane and Bertie Nelson Lane; and his siblings, Roy James Lane and Candace Joy Sanders. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Bettis Lane; his children, Connie, Martin Higley of Bremen, James Randall "Randy" and Dominica Lane of Oak Grove, Alabama; his brother Mike (Betty Lane); and his grandchildren, Jonathan, Julie Higley of Marietta, Stephen, Hannah Higley of Sugarland, Shana and Mark Griffin of Hoover, Alabama. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
