He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Harper Shoemaker and Marion Rabon Shoemaker; his sister Sharyn Moore; and his sister-in-law Pat Shoemaker. He is survived by: his wife Annette King Shoemaker; his daughter Sherri Moody (Bobby); his brothers, Larry Shoemaker and Richard Shoemaker (Kathy); and his brother-in-law Billy Moore (Ellen). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Brinson Baptist Church (119 Mc Nair St, Brinson, GA 39825). A reception was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
