Simpson of Valdosta and Jim Ray; his daughter-in-law Jennifer Simpson of Lake Park; his sister Robi Jean; his brother-in-law Gary "Gator" Johnson of Sylvester, Georgia; his close friend Patricia McFadden of Quitman; his extended family Dena Webb of Jacksonville; and his nieces and nephews, Cassie Johnson, Crissy Barrett (Lan), Scott Simpson (Dwan) and Andrea Whiddon (Marty).
