He was predeceased by: his parents, Hite Thompson and Nora Thompson; his son Wayne Thompson; and his son-in-law Tommy Musselwhite. He is survived by: his wife Doris Tanksley Thompson; his children, Barry Thompson (Judy) and Teresa Musselwhite; his grandchildren, Matthew Thompson, Christopher Musselwhite (Michelle) and Amanda Buckley; and his great grandchildren, Chase Musselwhite, Makayla Sorrells, Kai Buckley and Christina Musselwhite. He is also survived by several nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fairview Baptist Church (583 Fairview Rd, Brooks, GA 30205). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
