He was predeceased by: his parents, Arlie Griffin and Doris Evelyn Ray Griffin; and his siblings, Jo Ann Griffin, Wilburn Griffin and Randall David Griffin.
He is survived by: his sister Martha Jean Cook (Wallace) of Nashville; his caregiver Sherry Nixon; and his uncle Billy Ray of Brookfield. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
