She was predeceased by: her parents, Sampson Smith and Bettie Swails Smith; her husband Ernest Dave "Buddy" Ricketson, Jr.; her grandson Ashley Ricketson; and her son-in-law James Travis McKinnon.
She is survived by: her children, Ray Ricketson (Cathy) of Douglas, Georgia and Marguerite R. McKinnon of Broxton, Georgia; her stepson David Ricketson (Debra) of Wray, Georgia; her close friend Cheyenne Adkins of Ambrose, Georgia; her grandchildren, Hilaree Jackson (Stephen Jr.), Nicole Lee (Chip), Gabe Dale (Cody), Lance Ricketson (Natalia), Taylor McKinnon, Clay Adkins, Jared Adkins, Savannah Adkins and Lindsay Adkins; and her sister Elouise S. Wooley of Destin, Florida. She is also survived by four great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Douglas (124 N Gaskin Ave, Douglas, GA 31533). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at the Reedy Branch Cemetery (96 Boxwood, Broxton, GA 31519).
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Youth Ministry at First Baptist Church in Douglas, Georgia.
