Alfred leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Alfred’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank DeFranco and Rose DeFranco; and his wife Rose Vitale DeFranco. He is survived by: his children, Christine DeFranco of Jekyll Island, Denise Rhodes of Coram, Donna Lennon-DeFranco of Jim Thorpe, Diana Brown of Lake Harmony, Victoria Izzo of Port Charlotte, Florida and Joseph DeFranco of Brunswick, Georgia. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St Francis Xavier Catholic Church (1120 Newcastle St, Brunswick, GA 31520). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Alfred's memory.
