She was predeceased by: her parents, Manny Booth and Florence Galbreath Booth; the father of her children Vernon Lovell Bennett; her son James Lovell Bennett; her granddaughter Jamie Bennett; and her brothers, Everette Booth, Bob Booth and Gus Booth.

She is survived by: her daughters, Crystol Bennett Scott (Garrett) of Bethpage and Jane Bennett Grimsley (Gary) of Hortense, Georgia; her sisters, Betty Booth Hope of Brunswick and Sara Booth Hitchcock of Cedar Crossing; her grandchildren, Tim Grimsley of Waycross, Scott Grimsley (Marci) of Waycross, Richard Scott of Bethpage, Elizabeth Scott Hicks of Gallatin, Jim Poole of Kansas and Pam Crews Bennett; her cousin Kathy Galbreath Lynn; and her niece Teresa Booth Tracy. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

“I met ethel 23 yrs ago looking for the galbreath cemetery. Cousin ed tippett directed us & told me about ethel. She was so welcoming as we found out how we were distantly related, & we thought alike in many ways. Sometimes we spoke by phone, and on future trips, i always stopped to see her, including once in the hospital. She combined personal strength and great warmth.
