“Drew, My wife, Nancy & I became friends with George several years ago after getting to know him during an extended stay on St. Simons Island. We loved to talk Braves baseball, Wisconsin football or even politics. He was very proud of you & your sister, Caroline. He spoke often of the years spent in Dunwoody and his love for both of you. Nancy & I are both saddened by the news of his passing. Our deepest sympathy to you & your family, Anthony & Nancy Westmoreland”

Gail Gustavson wrote a sympathy message

“George is my uncle. I have never met anyone so proud of each of his children as he was of Drew and Caroline. He always filled every room he entered and had the most contagious laugh and smile. He was never afraid to take on challenges and always put 100% in everything he did no matter how big or small (such as sports, community activities, neighborhood Christmas luminaries, and even his weekend breakfasts for his family).”

Mark Gustavson wrote a sympathy message

“George is my older brother. He played an important role throughout my life. For much of his he was my mentor in golf, competitor in tennis, racket ball, pinball, and companion in watching sports. I will never be able to watch the Packers, college football, or the Masters without thinking of him. Mark”
