He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas McKenzie and Maggie Bratcher Rowe; and his sisters, Nanalou Galbreath, Charlotte Hays and Virginia O'Sullivan.

He is survived by: his wife Marion McKenzie of Brunswick; his children, Clifton Wayne McKenzie (Patricia) of Abbeville, Patricia Lamb (Chuck) of Middletown and Julie Hutcheson (Chad) of Dublin, Georgia; and his sister Mary Jones (Phil) of Orlando, Florida.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home (3321 Glynn Ave, Brunswick, GA 31520). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at the Military Honors Chapel Park Cemetery (1180 Cate Rd, Brunswick, GA 31525).
