He is survived by: his wife Glenda James; his children, Joseph Edward O'Connor Jr. (Pamela) of Brunswick, GA and Melissa Kaye O'Connor of Waynesville, GA; his grandchildren, Anthony Curry, Matthew Curry, Harris O'Connor (Mikaela), Amanda Taylor (Henry) and Sarah Julien (Alex); and his great grandchildren, Abbie, Ashton, Hayden, Dalton, Bradyn, Jospeh, Aubree, Emma and Brooks.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM.
