It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Luis Rafael Maldonado Jr. (Brunswick, Georgia), who passed away on October 8, 2025, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Luis may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Luis touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his brother Jose Gonzalez; and his father Luis Rafael Maldonado. He is survived by: his daughters, Shanel Marie Maldonado and Katrina Lynn Maldonado; his mother Olga Iris Carmona; his sisters, Taynee Gonzalez, Myra Maldonado and Aileen Tosado; and his grandchildren, Greyson Maldonado, Zei'nerlis Nashaly Maldonado and De'luna Ortiz.
