She was predeceased by: her parents, Dave Thompson and Gladys Thompson (McDuffie); her husband Michael L. Ritchie; and her siblings, Rosa Thompson Tyson, Robert Thompson and Aaron Thompson.
She is survived by: her siblings, Hattie L. Vaugh of Brunswick, Georgia and Johnny Thompson; her sister-in-law Reatha Mae Thompson (Faye Thompson); and her close friend Shandora McCree (Throne Peterson) of Miami. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
