He was predeceased by: his parents, James Nelson Thrower and Eva Cleo Parsons Thrower; his daughter Christa Thrower; his grandson Kyle William Mock; his great grandchild Harleigh Lane Thrower; and his brother J. D. Thrower.
He is survived by: his children, Paul Thrower (Brittany) of Sumter, SC and Melanie Mock of Hoboken, GA; his siblings, Alan Thrower (Jeanette) of Tennessee, Jean Moore (Mike) of South Carolina and CleEtta Fisk (Joe) of North Carolina; his sister-in-law Christine Thrower-Skinner of Florida; his grandchildren, Jacob Thrower, Molly Thrower, Brooklin Thompson and Kristopher Mock; his great grandchildren, Harley, Anakin Mock, Connor Edwards and Cason Smith; his friend Betty Warwick; Suzanne Bokor (Micky) and Sydney Bokor. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Chapman Funeral Chapel (5951 Golden Isles Pkwy, Brunswick, GA 31525).
