He was predeceased by: his parents, D. W. Gay and Della Gay. He is survived by: his wife Carole Gay of Brunswick; his children, Angie Headley of Coca Beach, Jessica Keatts of Savannah, Jason Keatts of Savannah, Trevor Keatts (Miranda) of Brunswick and Bentley Gay of Brunswick; and his sister Melinda Simmons (Gary) of St. Mary's. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
