“As a young teenager, I got to spend some time with my cousin David on a road trip. It was the first time I felt like an adult was seeing me and it made a big impression. He was in the Navy then, and I was just starting 9th grade, I think. I remember wearing goofy socks and having fun with some roadside attractions - a hippo statue, if I recall correctly. And Davy was right there with me, having fun, and assuring me that this was exactly what we should be doing. Best to you Davy. Love, Kurt”
