We announce the death of Horace Crawford Whitmore (Buchanan, Georgia), who passed away on June 23, 2026, at the age of 85. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Whitmore and Beulah Daniel Whitmore; and his siblings, Ralph Whitmore, Archie Whitmore, Ruby Roberts, Lee Whitmore, Flora Harper and Thurman Whitmore.

He is survived by: his wife Faye Lee Whitmore; his children, Jan Rogers (Jim), Jerry Whitmore, Shannon Whitmore (Jennifer), Jack Dempsey (Pam) and Jimmy Dempsey (Lisa); his grandchildren, Stephanie Pate, Kaytlynn Dondanville (Neil), Ashley Kamerad (Marc), Jennifer Phillips (Darrell), Madison O'Bryen (Adam), Landon Whitmore and Gracin Whitmore; and his brothers, Ray Whitmore (Dinah) and Windell Whitmore (Olivia). He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
