With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joyce Sharon Long of Buchanan, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 20, 2025 at the age of 91. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Joyce leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Joyce may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Berthal Austin Dennis and Lucille M Kehm Dennis; her husband James Long; her daughter Cynthia Schinzer; and her siblings, Robert and Myrna.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Hyland (Ivey Harvell) of Acworth, Vickie Hardin (Mike) of Douglasville, Richard Schinzer of Buchanan and Rick Long of Somerset, Wisconsin. She is also survived by grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren.
