He is survived by: his close friend Debra McElwaney; his daughters, Robin Denise Wood of Buchanan, Melinda Louise McElwaney of Alabama and Cherry Helen McElwaney of Buchanan; and his brother Darry Allen McElwaney of Tallapoosa. He is also survived by his twelve grandchildren: five great-grandchildren: 4 nephews: and other family and friends.
