She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Samuel and Ola Cobb Bearden; and her husband Carl Grant, Sr.. She is survived by: her daughter Maria Shelby; her stepdaughter Linda Long; and her grandsons, Daniel Shelby (Aston) and Andrew Shelby (Sabrina).
