He was predeceased by: his parents, Neal Southerland and Macher Southerland; his former wife Joyce Cole Southerland; his wife Wynell Crocker Southerland; his daughter RueNell Southerland Loftin; and his brother John Southerland of Austell.
He is survived by: his children, Rev. Frankie (Celia Southerland) and Susan (Don Hughes); and his sister MaryNell Turner (Georgia). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel (3481 Hamilton Mill Rd, Buford, GA 30519). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
