It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Aubie Dwight McCrea of Buford, Georgia, who passed away on September 3, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Aubie departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Aubie may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Aubie leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his wife Laura McCrea; his daughter Jericha L. McCrea; his parents, Mary Britt and O. A. McCrea; and his brother Neil John McCrea.
He is survived by: his son Jordan O'Neil McCrea of Lithonia; his sisters, Helen Waters and Jere Nall of Alma; and his daughter Cora Pursel. He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
