She was predeceased by: her parents, George Settle and Irene Settle; and her siblings, Nancy, Penny, Geraldine, George Jr. and Leon.
She is survived by: her former husband Maurice Braxton; her daughter Adele Braxton-Fields (James); her husband Mutt; her sister-in-law Bernice Braxton of Charles Town, WV.; her grandchildren, Rasheda, Dezman and Arianna; her great grandchildren, Jayden Smith-Fields and Jayce Fields; and her godson Chad Togans.
In lieu of flowers, the family specifically requests contributions be made to Hope for Stomach Cancer at stocan.org in memory of Betty.
