Cecil G. Davis Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 20, 2024, at the age of 88, Cecil G. Davis of Buford, Georgia, born in Montgomery, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Cecil is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Cecil's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jonah "Buster" Davis and Lucille Jones Davis. He is survived by: his wife Betty Sue Mims Davis of Buford; his stepchildren, Meritha Sisum (Steve) of Buford and John Eric Berry of Douglasville, GA; his grandson Noah Caspian Sisum; his sister Cornelia Davis Overby of Columbus, GA; and his nephew Terry Overby of Columbus.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ivy Creek Baptist Church Building Fund in memory of Cecil Davis.
