He was predeceased by: his mother Eliza Hicks Canup; and his wife Emma Maxine Moody Canup. He is survived by: his daughters, Sheila Grizzle (Rick) and Regina McClanahan (Bob McClain); his grandchildren, Russell (Sheena), Kimberly, Erik (Mia) and Paul; and his great grandchildren, Addison, Easton, BrynLee, Julien and Theo.
