With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Florence Elrod Garrett of Buford, Georgia, who passed away on March 24, 2023 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Paul Bennett; her daughter Melinda Garrett; and her parents, A. A. "Mutt" Elrod and Florine Fraser Elrod. She is survived by: her children, Amanda Garrett Mooney (Keith) of Commerce, GA. and Anthony Garrett (Chasta) of Franklin, N. C.; and her siblings, Martha Dysinger (Lyle) of Toccoa, GA., Gail Robinson (Gene) of Commerce, GA., Della McKinney of Commerce, GA., Beulah Elrod of Commerce, GA., Frances Weinand of Franklin, N. C., Flonnie Thomas of Flowery Branch, GA. and John Elrod (Deborah) of Cleveland. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made payable to Flanigan Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses in memory of Florence Elrod Garrett.
