He is survived by: his wife Neomi De Jesus; his children, Carlos Ruben Merced, Wanda Ivette Merced McNerney (Joe McNerney), Gilberto Merced and Juan Merced (Karly Elizabeth Merced); and his siblings, Luz Maria Merced and Juan Merced. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren.
