He was predeceased by: his parents, George Grass and Florence Grass (Fitch); his siblings, George Grass and Ruth Bartels; and his niece Laura Grass.

He is survived by: his wife Alice Miriam Stoldt; his children, Wende, Kevin and Steven; his grandchildren, Alisha, Brenna Kate, Charlie, Mac, Lila and Sam; and his sister-in-law Irma Grass.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church.
