He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth Mathis Gober; his parents, Everett Gober and Ora Gober; his siblings, Ruby Ellsworth, Cecil Gober and William Gober; his brother-in-law George Mathis; and his grandsons, Scott Bradford and Mikey Humphrey.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jan (Keith Humphrey) and Jill (Jerome Bradford); his grandchildren, Kalyn Bowen (Jett) of Braselton, GA., Jason Bradford (Shirley) of Buford, GA., Britni Abercrombie (Jason) of Copperhill and Brett Humphrey of Blue Ridge, GA.; his sister-in-law Runette Mathis; his cousins, Jane Wheeler and Christine Roach Rifineti; his great-niece Jessie Mathis; and his caregivers, Jim, Kelly, Morgan, Star, Ce Ce and Naesha. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews.
