With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean Marilyn McAlister Carlson (Buford, Georgia), who passed away on March 20, 2026 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim McAlister and Bunny McAlister. She is survived by: her husband Peter Carlson; her daughters, Amy Noel Fatzinger (Shane) and Sheri Jean Gilbert (Sean); her grandchildren, Brendan Fatzinger (Gina), Elijah Fatzinger, Zeke Fatzinger, Hannah Gilbert Scholl (Caleb), Emily Gilbert and Grayson Gilbert; her great grandchild Jonathan Fatzinger; and her siblings, Joan McAlister Mathis (Jim) of Gaylord, MI and Jim McAlister (Wendy) of Marietta, GA. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, cousins and dear friends.
