He was predeceased by: his daughter Kelsey Malcolm; his parents, David Malcolm Sr. and Linda Seagraves Chase; and his grandparents, Chester Andrew, Eunice Mae Hudson Malcolm, James Roy Seagraves Sr. and Dessie Mae Williams Seagraves.

He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Smith Malcolm; his children, Destiny Malcolm, Tyler Malcolm and Shanna Brooke Malcolm; his grandchildren, Wesser Malcolm, Cambria Malcolm, Jayden Nuncio and Jaxson Malcolm; and his brothers, Chuck Malcolm (Cindy) and Chad Bingham. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
