She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Bird and Melvin Bird; and her brother Pete Shelton. She is survived by: her children, Becky McBryant and Mike; her daughter-in-law Julie McBryant; her grandchildren, Katie, John Gulisano, Ben and Kayla McBryant; and her great grandchildren, Johnny, Hazel Gulisano, Harleigh James and Hank McBryant.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sugar Hill Church Backpack Ministry or Christmas Family Ministry in memory of Joan McBryant.
