He was predeceased by: his parents, Madison H. Taylor and Virginia Leach Taylor; his wife Mary Ellen Palmer Taylor; and his brother James "Jim" Taylor. He is survived by: his children, Terri McClendon (Burl) of Austin, Jane DeGrood (Paul) of Buford, Georgia and Mike (Becky) of Brookhaven. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and two cousins.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the DeKalb Baptist Church (11 Bell St, De Kalb, MS 39328).
