He is survived by: his father Noah Gilleland; his wife Betty Carole Gilleland; his daughters, Lori Durnell (Richard) of Gainesville, Georgia and Crystal Jordan (Gary) of Ball Ground, Georgia; his grandchildren, Kari Martin (Cody) of Braselton, Georgia, Daniel Butler of Ball Ground, Georgia, Justin Kinsey of Gainesville, Georgia and Cody Butler of Ball Ground, Georgia; his great grandchildren, Brystal, Landyn, Emersyn and Saydi; and his sister Mae Thayer of Thomaston. He is also survived by "Daddy" to his daughters and "Granddad" to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Flanigan Funeral Home (4400 S Lee St, Buford, GA 30518). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home (4400 S Lee St, Buford, GA 30518). The military honors was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at the Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens (3481 Hamilton Mill Rd, Buford, GA 30518).
