He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Franklin Childree and Lois Marie Childree; his sister Margie Ann Smith; his brothers-in-law, Charles Morris and Charles C. Smith; and his uncle Lee Eldridge DeFoe.
He is survived by: his wife Josephine Childree; his siblings, Georgia, Willa Diane Redmond, Port St and Barbara Morris; and his children, Sonya Marie Childree of Mobile, Steven Christopher Childree of Buford, Georgia, Connie Lynn Sonnenberg of Belt, Montana and Jessica Koterba of Hobson. He is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
