She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Hamilton and Carrie Reed Hamilton; her siblings, Billy Hamilton, Frances Hamilton Strickland, Betty Murphy and Sally Hamilton; and her son Jeffery Hamilton Haney.
She is survived by: her husband Jesse Lee Haney of Buford; her daughter April Haney of Braselton, GA; and her pet Cherry. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins and a host of friends including special family friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Flanigan Funeral Home (4400 S Lee St, Buford, GA 30518). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home (4400 S Lee St, Buford, GA 30518). A burial will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at the New Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery (6302 Lake Lanier Islands Pkwy, Buford, GA 30518).
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, September 25, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to St. Jude Children Hospital in memory of Sara Hamilton Haney.
