She is survived by: her sons, Daniel Carpenter of Dalton and David Carpenter of Gainesville; and her siblings, Darlene Awtrey of Dahlonega, Tonya Carpenter of Dalton, Tony Carpenter, Tori Carpenter of Gainesville and Taleigha Sims of Gainesville.

“I was thinking of Tammy today. We were friends in our early teenage years. She was a very sweet friend and so beautiful. Tammy loved her family and loved to laugh.. She was kind and never treated anyone like they were below her. I went online today and did a google search to see what ever became of her, and it’s so nice to see became a mom and I’m certain she adored her sons. I’m so sorry to hear of her passing.
