He was predeceased by: his parents, William Duerkoop and Leona Duerkoop; and his siblings, Donald Duerkoop, Bobbie Lamb and Carol Brinker.
He is survived by: his wife Hiroko; his sister Jeanette Herrick; his daughters, Erica Magnuson and Ana Ketcham; his brother-in-law Mitsunobu Uchida (Evelyn Uchida); and his grandchildren, Grayson Magnuson and Banner Magnuson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel (5051 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Peachtree Corners, GA 30092). A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the Peachtree Memorial Park (5051 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Peachtree Corners, GA 30092).
