The memory of Opal J Lusk of Butler, Georgia, who passed away on April 22, 2025 at the age of 89, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. In the sacred silence of farewell, Opal is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Opal's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Smith and Namon Kirkland; her husband Ward Lusk; and her daughter Candy Jones. She is survived by: her children, Patti Allen (Jim), Rick Parker (Judi) and Gary Lusk (Regina). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Striffler Hamby Mortuary (4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheuimers Association in her memory.
