He was predeceased by: his parents, L. E. Peterman, Jr. and Roma Louise Locke Peterman; his brothers, Clifford Peterman and Ronnie Peterman; and his sister-in-law Mildred Hammock Peterman.

He is survived by: his son Wayne Peterman (Bunny) of Butler; his grandchildren, Tyler Holmes (Delana), Joshua Peterman (Micah), Ricky Hales (Felicia, family: Michelle Bustamante) and Liza Nunez (Jesse); his daughter Marsha McCants of Butler; his granddaughter Melody Maddox (Keith); his great grandchild Aiden; his grandson Jed Davis (Kelley); his great grandchildren, Reed and Emiley; and his siblings, Elizabeth Peterman, Nadine Lambert, Francis Smart and Charles Peterman. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
