He was predeceased by : his wife Billie Salmon. He is survived by : his daughter Hallie Ward Edwards; and his siblings, Sonny Edwards and Charlotte Hawkins. He is also survived by one niece and three nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Taylor Emergency Medical Services located at 22 E. Main Street, Butler, Georgia.
