He was predeceased by : his parents, Andrew Jackson and Mariam Whitt Jackson; his grandson Jake Bassett; and his siblings, Sarge Andrew Jackson Jr., Mary Holloway, Margie Powell, William Buford "Bill" Jackson, Jack Leon Jackson and Clinton Jackson.

He is survived by : his sons, Larry Jackson and C. J. Jackson; his grandchildren, Nikki Bassett Reynolds, Kayleigh Jackson, Andrea Jackson, Colton Jackson and Elliott Jackson; his great grandchild Bentley Jackson; and his former life partner Ning Skees.
