He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ernest Mercer and Essie Newberry Mercer; his wife Kay Mercer; his sons, Rick Mercer and Wade Taylor; and the parents of child, William Ernest Mercer and Essie Newberry Mercer.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fairhaven Funeral Home (4989 Mt Pleasant Church Rd, Macon, GA 31216). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
