He was predeceased by : his parents, Bernard Peterman and Ophelia Starnes Peterman; his brother Kenneth Peterman; and his son-in-law Jeffery Rose. He is survived by : his close friend Debbie Hinson of Byron; his children, James Peterman (Misty) of Byron, Cindy Blando (Brian) of Byron and Samantha Rose of Rincon; his brother Mitchell Peterman (Andrea) of Roberta; and his grandchildren, Nate Peterman, Sam Peterman, Cameron Rose, Kayla Rose, Austin Blando (Lana) and Seth Blando.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lighthouse Community Church, 4301 Jordan Road, Byron, GA 31008.

“Sammy worked with us 10 years ago. He was greatly respected and revered not only for his work ethic, but for his generous demeanor and friendship as well. He was always willing to help. He was a tough individual which was on constant display especially in the way he handled life’s battles. RIP Sammy, you’ll be sorely missed. Kim and Mike Clark.”
