He was predeceased by : his parents, Albert D. Brinson and Lorena Matilda Huett Brinson; his wife Brenda Jean Harrell; and his children, Frankie Jean Cochran and Charles Daniel Brinson.

He is survived by : his children, Juanita King (Mike) of Cairo, Albert Brinson (Dawn) of Columbus, Georgia, Celiece Brinson of Cairo and Roger Earl Brinson of Cairo; and his grandchildren, Alex Brinson, Natasha Huerter, Crystal Elaine Lamb, Ashley Johnson, Megan Lamb, James Brinson, Charles Brinson, Jessica Warren, Tiffany Johnson, Jaymi Lee Mead, Danny Brinson, Brittany Brinson, Amanda McCarty and Christina Johnston. He is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
