He was predeceased by: his parents, Hamilton Wind and Catherine Stephens Wind; and his brother Robert Hamilton (Bobby) Wind (Anne Wind). He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Herbert Stephens Wind (Bert) and Melodee Wind Loeffler; his son-in-law Brent (Georgia); his grandchildren, Mark Wesley Loeffler (Georgia) of Macon and Catherine Piper Loeffler (Georgia) of Bainbridge; his nephews, Randolph H. Wind (Randy) and Patrick Marvin Wind (Pat); his sisters-in-law, Betty Faye Jones of Samson, Alabama and Mildred J. Baxley of Samson, Alabama; Robert Edward Wind, Jr..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Cairo First Methodist Church (318 S Broad St, Cairo, GA 39828). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
