We announce the death of Jacquelyn Wade Chambers of Cairo, Georgia, who passed away on September 19, 2026, at the age of 90. Jacquelyn will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady Wade and Gonez Singletary Wade; her husband Hubert Chambers; her stepfather Morgan Ferrell; her aunts and uncles, Agnes and Stacy Williams; and her brothers, Bill (Verne Hicks), John (Edna Lane), Edwin (Lucille Chambers), Harry Chambers, Ewell (Hazel Chambers), Oren (Connie Chambers), Garland (Dot Grimsley), Gene (Carolyn Townsend) and Monty (Mabel Chambers).
She is survived by: her son Ed Chambers of Cairo, GA; her brother Jerry; her sister-in-law Gladys Chambers of Tallahassee, FL; and her cousins, Marilyn Joyner of Cairo, GA and Gene Wade of Cairo, GA. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Clark Funeral Home (334 S Broad St, Cairo, GA 39828). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home (334 S Broad St, Cairo, GA 39828).
